Artist's Comments

Alright...so I really wasn't sure about this. Because, as most of you know, my comp is messed up and the screen is a lot darker than most other computers, at it can't get any brighter. So, for each of my pictures I make it a lot darker so other will hopefully see it how I do. Now, I have no idea how this looks to other people, so I'm kind of entering this being blind to the result. And if you have a comp like mine, it's gonna look pretty dark, so you may want to open it in photoshop or something to lighten it if you really want to make the effort. But anyways, the title is of course the title of one of my favorite Elton John songs. Thought the picture itself makes me think of lyrics to a different Elton Song, Someone Saved My Life Tonight.

Someone saved my life tonight, sugar bear
You almost had your hooks in me, didn't you dear
You nearly had me roped and tied
Alter-bound, hypnotized
Sweet freedom whispered in my ear
You're a butterfly
And butterflies are free to fly
Fly away
High away
Bye-bye

So, I got the stock pics from two different deviants
Ballerina-
Room-

And the brushes are from the wonderful

So I thought it needed something...so I think to myself: BRUSHES! And I go and find some, and apply them and TADA!
Comments always appreciated...hint hint...

The ballerina is so sweet, she looks sad.
:iconsmurfette1333:
yes, I thought it would look good darker than the original, and I think it shows her sadness more. Thank you for the comment :)

Heard ten thousand whispering and nobody listening. Heard one person starve, I heard many people laughing. Heard the song of a poet who died in the gutter.

If what is said above offended you, I apologize. I've most likely been overcaffinated.

Oh my God Almighty! Someone has sent me a bowel movement!

I love that song, but the image seems to show a dancer that is shattered and hurt by the world, not a "seemstress for the band" that can "hold [you] closer". Perhaps it's closer to the "graceful swans of never" of Smashing Pumpkin's "thirty-three".
